DC Comics' newest Green Lantern, known as Baz, is an Arab-American. The character's debut will be in September's Green Lantern #0.
The Detroit Free Press reports that Geoff Johns, Lebanese-American and Green Lantern writer will visit Detroit's Arab-American Museum to promote the character.
An invite-only workshop is planned for local youth, along with a public presentation about the comic book writer's career on September 8.
